Hi all there, I’ve been back here five days ago from the UK. I was in the UK for six days for two auditions of different acting school.

The first thing I should mention is the weather condition. Fortunately, I had no rainy days during my stay but it was so dry that I got a sore throat.

In the first day after landing in London, I went to see the stage production called “The Curious Incident of The Dong in The Midnight” at the picadelly theatre. I would definitely recommend it because its plot, stage design, technical effects, casts and their physical skills were every brilliant and impressive!!

In the next day, I took part in a workshop by Sebastian Blane who was qualified for Meisner technique. We experienced the repetition exercise that I already knew but I was struggling with English acting. It was meaningful and I could meet some brilliant aspiring actors there.

On 15th, I finally took the first audition in The Royal Central School of Speech and Drama. Participants including me are about 11 in that time. At the beginning, we did warming-up with the instruction by a coach, and then we walked around the room with sometimes eye contact each other and smile, calling others name. After that, we presented our own monologue one by one. It was my first time to perform in English, so there is no doubt that I got nervous. I played Tommy from a film which is called Never Let Me Go. Umm… I should have practiced more, I always think so after finishing though lol

However, I was able to enjoy the second audition in Guildford School of Acting on the 16th. It was from 9 to 14, through the period, we got movement workshop and voice workshop, and finally presented our prepared monologue respectively. I was struggling to listen the instruction from the coaches and managed just to enjoy that time! Actually, it was! I could learn more thing that I didn’t know. After a little break, we were gathered by a staff and waiting for re-call (it means that I am allowed to progress the next) or not.

I couldn’t believe that I got a re-call!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I went to the final process with other five. In the process, I performed another speech and previous monologue with direction. After that, I took a interview, which was really casual and coaches were very kind for my poor English… I could enjoyed it throughout all process

If you could take a time machine, which would you like to go to the past or the future?

I would definitely like to travel the past because I always feel nostalgia. I don’t wanna know my future. It is boring to spend the rest time if I know that, isn’t it?
